Vanessa Vu, MS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with a special interest in general dermatologic conditions and skin cancer. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and holds the American Medical Technologist certification, in both Arizona and Nevada. Her formal education and training include:
- University of Santo Tomas (Manila, Philippines) – BS, Medical Technology (magna cum laude)
- Touro University- Nevada (Henderson, NV) – MS, Medical Sciences
- Touro University – Nevada (Henderson, NV) – MS, Physician Assistant Studies (with honors)
Vanessa practiced her skill set within clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory settings, specializing in molecular hematopathology, and managing and directing general laboratory facilities for over 10 years. Her clinical experience includes detailed skin exams, the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, excisional and punch biopsies, and supporting pre-and post Mohs micrographic surgeries for skin cancer.
Vanessa contributes her time to various community service causes and has a passion for serving children and the veteran population. She has traveled extensively and participated in various medical missions.
In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys volunteering, hiking, rock climbing and taking her Maltese, Einstein, for long walks. She is also currently pursuing her pilot’s license and is ecstatic to fly small planes.
